About Us

Hello, and warmest greetings!

Not so long ago the magic age of fifty was considered old. Back when our mothers were fifty, we thought we were NEVER going to be that OLD. But yet, here we are at fifty and counting, and we realize it’s not so bad. In fact, it’s GREAT! We’re at a place where we can take stock of where we’ve been in our lives, what we’ve accomplished personally and professionally, whom we’ve befriended along the way, and how we want to proceed with our lives from here. All said and done, it’s a nice and comfortable place to be.

This website is the result of two fifty-something women, Peggy Schaller and Jane Chin, deciding to create a resource for women like us who see that possibly, if we put our minds to it, the best years of our life can still be yet to come.

Who are we?

Jane is the mother of two teenage children, one of whom has just left for college. The other hats she wears are wife, daughter-in-law, sister, aunt and friend. Each hat has a different feel but she enjoys wearing all of them because at fifty-plus she feels in control of how each hat fits – the hats don’t control her.

Jane is also a working woman. With more than twenty-five years of experience in social work, corporate finance, and human resources, her professional life has been enhanced by a commitment to community service and civic leadership.

Peggy has focused most of her life on her professional career as a teacher, trainer, coach, corporate executive, and entrepreneur. An avid life-long learner, she wants to share her love of personal growth and new beginnings with the women who visit Bravo to Life!

Single, with no children of her own, Peggy enjoys her role as a sister, aunt, friend, colleague, and "mother" to two feline companions, Phoebe and Samantha.

Why Bravo to Life?

With the millions of Baby Boomer women entering their 50s and 60s, now is the time for us to share, support, and learn together. We are therefore excited to be creating the Bravo to Life! information community for fabulous women over fifty, and welcome you to it.
